A man and his dog hit the woods of Wisconsin in search of mushrooms. What they came across is a not-so-camouflaged white deer fawn. It appeared to be only a few days old.
Fawns lack scent in order to avoid predators. Most of them also have a spotted brownish coat that allows them to blend in with the surrounding vegetation around them.
Not so much the case with this little one.
Wildlife biologists urge hunters, hikers and others to maintain a safe distance between themselves and young wildlife.
