A hunter in search of an elk to fill the freezer in southwestern Washington made what looks like a lifesaving discovery.
According to KOIN-TV, the hunter came across a woman who spent the night in the woods after she got lost while seeking wild mushrooms. She then got an escort to search and rescue teams who had been conducting both ground and air searches since the previous day.
Authorities have often turned to hunters for assistance as they try to solve crimes and other cases. A year ago, an elk hunter in Oregon came across three people who became stranded for eight days after their car got stuck in Oregon. Unfortunately, one of them died.
