An elk hunter from Wisconsin died after a storm rolled through Idaho where they set up camp. Lightning struck a tree that fell on the tent of 33-yar-old Chris Perow, killing him instantly.
“We had plans as a family. We had plans to build a home, and we had plans to have more children,” Chris’s wife Lauren told WDJT-TV.
Perow made the trip west with his brother-in-law. It was a hunt they planned for a year.
In addition to his wife, Perow leaves behind two young boys.
