The deadline to apply for 2018 elk tags and premium hunts in Oregon is May 15.
Premium Hunts are similar to the auction and raffle tags for which people can pay thousands of dollars, but cost the same as a regular tag. Premium Hunts are also an additional hunting opportunity, meaning hunters who draw the tag can still hunt with a regular general or controlled deer, elk or pronghorn tag that year.
The elk, pronghorn and deer Premium Hunts season runs from August 1 through November 30. Oregon residents or out-of-state residents may apply.
