Hammocks, rope, Christmas lights, soccer nets and now a chair. That’s right, a piece of lawn furniture is the latest manmade device to cause issues for an elk.
It happened in the small Colorado town of Idledale, just west of Denver. A cow elk got its head and front legs stuck in a chair. Joe Nicholson with Colorado Parks and Wildlife tranquilized the animal and set it free. The elk then woke up and wandered back into the woods.
