RMEF, Les Schwab Team Up to Help Elk Country
MISSOULA, Mont.—The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Les Schwab Tire Centers are joining forces for the 14th consecutive year to benefit elk and elk country.
“Organizations and companies that support RMEF are not just sponsors. They are our conservation partners,” said Steve Decker, RMEF vice president of Marketing. “Les Schwab’s long-standing support has allowed RMEF to better carry out our mission.”
Over the course of the conservation relationship and through the Les Schwab Country Rifle Drawing, Les Schwab has donated 1,535 rifles and gun cases to assist fundraising efforts for various RMEF chapters in the western part of the United States.
“Les Schwab has been a proud supporter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for many years,” said Brian Capp, Les Schwab vice president of Marketing. “Through the Les Schwab Country Rifle Drawing, we have helped raise $2.1 million to help protect and enhance over 12,000 acres of wildlife habitat to ensure the future of elk and other wildlife.”
For 2015, Les Schwab is donating a Remington Model 700 SPS .300 WIN Mag and gun case to 125 RMEF chapters for use in the drawing. The winners of the rifles will also be entered into a drawing for a Utah trophy bull elk hunt worth $15,500. The hunt is with Wild Country Outfitters and is also donated by Les Schwab Tire Centers.
“We are grateful for the support of Les Schwab Tire Centers, their leadership and their employees across the West,” added Decker.
