UPDATE 10/2/2018:
Seeking information from the public with hopes of finding the person(s) responsible for poaching a bull elk in southwest Oregon, the Oregon State Police released photos and specific details of the arrow used in the incident.
The ongoing investigation revealed the elk was killed with a 29 ¼ inch Beman ICS Bowhunter 400 arrow (measured from insert to knock base), with yellow and white vanes, with “Don’t Tread on Me” printed on the white index vane and a 100-grain Muzzy Trocar broadhead. Authorities say the perpetrator(s) made no effort to harvest any of the meat.

Authorities in Oregon need your help finding who illegally shot and killed a bull elk in the southwestern part of the state.
Oregon State Police say it happened in Douglas County in the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area just outside of Reedsport. Someone shot the bull with an arrow and left the meat to waste.
