When the high tide rolls in, the best thing to do is get out of the way. That’s no different for a small herd of elk in northwest Oregon. It happened at Cannon Beach, a small coastal community on the Pacific Ocean about 80 miles northwest of Oregon City.
The tide herded the group of about 20 animals immediately off shore into a tight group until larger waves pushed them into a sprint further north up the beach.
